Nearly Two Decades of Bridging the Gap Between Technology and Business
My name is Leo Montgomery, and I've spent most of my career doing the same thing in different industries: translating between the people who build technology and the people who run businesses. I studied Business Information Systems at Oxford Brookes - a degree that was essentially built around that gap. From there I spent years in aviation, then insurance technology, eventually becoming a shareholder in an insurtech firm. Different industries, same story: the technology exists, but getting business people and tech people to understand each other is almost always the hardest part. What I noticed along the way was a pattern. The businesses with the biggest budgets got access to the best automation tools. Everyone else made do with spreadsheets, WhatsApp threads, and memory. That felt wrong. So I started Ettiecus.
